Error Codes & Troubleshooting

If your TITAN or Venus G2 shows an error code on the display, the steps below will help you resolve most issues on your own.

First, try a restart
Press and hold the knob to power off the device, wait a few seconds, then restart. Most temporary faults can be cleared by restarting the system. If the code remains, follow the steps for your error below.

ERROR 1 | Battery abnormal

  1. Power off the device, remove the battery, then reinsert it. Make sure the battery is installed with the VIVANT logo facing up and the contacts facing inward, and that it clicks firmly into place.
  2. Charge the battery using the charging dock; wait until the indicator turns from red to green before trying again. A low charge can also trigger this error.
  3. Wipe the battery contacts and the unit contacts with a dry, soft cloth, and check for dirt, oxidation, or moisture.
  4. Switch to powering the device via the power adapter. If it works normally, the issue may be battery-related.
  5. Use only genuine VIVANT batteries and approved charging accessories.

ERROR 2 | Infrared sensor (IR sensor) abnormal

  1. Make sure the base of the decanter is flat and sits fully flush against the cooling plate.
  2. Wipe the cooling plate and the sensor area with a dry, soft cloth to remove water droplets, condensation, or other residue.
  3. Avoid direct strong light on the sensor, and use the device within the recommended ambient temperature range of 8°C–20°C.
  4. Restart the device and try again.

ERROR 3 | Fan abnormal

  1. Make sure there is sufficient space around the device for heat dissipation, and that the side vents are not blocked.
  2. Clear any dust or debris near the side vents.
  3. Place the device on a stable, well-ventilated surface, away from high-temperature environments.
  4. Restart the device and try again.
